Gloss White Pearl

Tesla offers a Pearl White Multi-Coat factory option, but it's a $2,000 upgrade and still ships with the same soft clearcoat. A gloss white pearl wrap (3M 1080-GP10 or Avery SW900-101-O) delivers the same visual depth on top of a more rock-chip-resistant vinyl surface, for the same money — and you can revert at any time.

Color-Shift

Color-shift Tesla wraps are increasingly popular. Films like 3M 1080-GP281 (Gloss Flip Psychedelic) and Avery's ColorFlow series change color based on viewing angle and lighting. Purple-to-blue, green-to-gold, blue-to-red. The film is more expensive ($800–$1,500 premium over solid colors) but turns heads at every stoplight.

Matte Finish

Matte Tesla wraps look aggressive but require slightly more care than satin or gloss because the textured surface holds dirt and is harder to spot-clean. We recommend matte black or matte dark grey on Tesla performance models. Avery Matte Black (SW900-180-M) is our default.

Tesla PPF vs. Full Wrap

Many Tesla owners ask whether they should get full-front PPF or a full vinyl wrap. Both are valid options with different trade-offs:

• Full-front PPF: Clear urethane film over the most rock-chip-prone areas (bumper, hood, fenders, mirrors, A-pillars). Invisible from the outside. Protects factory paint without changing color. Self-healing — minor scratches disappear with heat. 7–10 year lifespan. Cost: $1,500–$2,500.
• Full vinyl wrap: Changes the color of the entire vehicle while protecting the underlying paint from UV and minor abrasion. Less impact-resistant than PPF on the front end. 5–7 year lifespan. Cost: $2,800–$5,000.
• Wrap + PPF combo: Wrap the vehicle in your chosen color, then add PPF over the wrap on the front end. Best of both worlds. Total cost: $4,500–$7,000.

Most Tesla owners we see opt for the combo on Model S and X, and a satin wrap with selective PPF on the bumper and partial hood for Model 3 and Y.

Tesla Wrap Process

1. Digital Mockup

Send us your Tesla's year, model, and current color (and trim level if Performance/Plaid). We build a digital mockup of your exact vehicle in your chosen wrap finish. Approve before any film is ordered.

2. Drop-Off & Decontamination

Drop your Tesla at our Edmond studio. We hand-wash, clay-bar, and IPA-wipe every panel before any vinyl touches paint. The factory shipping wax and silica residue have to come off, or the film won't bond properly. This is the step many cheap shops skip.

3. Climate-Controlled Installation

Cast vinyl adhesion requires temperature in the 65–80°F range and controlled humidity. Our bay holds both. A wrap installed in a driveway or hot Oklahoma garage will edge-lift within 6 months. Ours don't.

4. Post-Heat & Final Inspection

Every edge gets post-heated to lock adhesion. We perform a panel-by-panel inspection before you pick up. You get a printed care guide with do's and don'ts specific to your finish.

Does Wrapping Void Your Tesla Warranty?

No. A professionally installed vinyl wrap does not void Tesla's vehicle warranty. The wrap sits on top of the factory paint and is fully removable. We use paint-safe adhesive cast vinyl. When removed by a professional, the OEM paint comes out untouched. Tesla service centers will still service your wrapped vehicle without issue. Many of our clients are leased Tesla owners who wrap the vehicle the week they take delivery and remove the wrap the week before lease return.
